BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - People will have a chance to help decide the future of the LSU Lakes in Baton Rouge, as the four finalist firms selected by the Baton Rouge Area Foundation to revitalize that 45-acre area will present their plans in a public meeting Monday morning.
The community meeting kicks off at 9 a.m.
The four firms will present their plans to save the lakes from reverting to the swampland it was in the 1930s.
Those who use the area daily to run and bike hope the final plans include improvements to trails and parking, while residents in the area have their own requests for the lakes.
Firms will present their plans and will take questions from the public after a break for lunch. BRAF plans on selecting the winning firm later in the day.
