BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A man has been arrested and charged with attempted second degree murder. He is accused of stabbing a woman six times in her back after he refused to pay her for oral sex.
It happened on June 20 just after 11 p.m. in the 6000 block of Winchester in Baton Rouge.
Reports say 18-year-old Darius Budgewater contacted the victim in reference to an ad she listed on the website Backpage. The victim and a second female met Budgewater at his home and they agreed to "drive around for a brief time" while one woman "performed oral sex on him." However, both women were in the vehicle at the time.
The report goes on to say Budgewater argued with the women about paying $60 for oral sex. They all three got out of the vehicle and continued arguing. Budgewater is then accused of stabbing the woman who did not perform oral sex on him six times in the back before he ran off.
After being stabbed, the woman got back into the vehicle and drove to a nearby convenience store to call police.
EMS took the woman to the hospital where she was treated for having two collapsed lungs and internal bleeding.
Budgewater was found after an investigation and charged with attempted second degree murder. He is being held in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison without bond.
At this time it is unclear if investigators will charge the two women with anything, according to Baton Rouge Police.
