BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The hype around the LSU freshman class continues to build, even though fans are still yet to see them in Tiger uniforms.
With summer weight room sessions and seven-on-seven drills underway, head coach Les Miles said one position group in particular is turning heads.
"You always hear from the players in seven-on-seven [about] who is pretty good and who is not," Miles said. "The young receivers, each of them, have all made their mark. It appears to me the young class is pretty talented."
"We're excited about this entire freshman class," offensive coordinator Cam Cameron added. "I know 'Chief' talks about the defensive guys we have coming in. Offensively, obviously, we are thrilled. It is a talented group. I'm sure there will be some guys that are maybe not as talented that will be extremely good players and I know the players that are highly talented are as advertised."
LSU will face Wisconsin in Houston on August 30.
