BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Parents spoke up about the education changes they want to see in their children's public schools at a meeting Wednesday night.
One Community One School District hosted the meeting to let parents speak their minds and offer their ideas with school principals.
Belinda Davis, the organization's president, was happy to see a room full of moms and dads.
"I believe that an informed parent is an empowered parent and an empowered parent will actually help push the school district forward in our education opportunities," Davis said.
Moving forward is exactly what One Community One School District hopes for, as it launches a new website and plans to hold another meeting to share its goals of helping children in the community.
