Sheriff: Woman arrested after deputies find crystal meth in portable radio

ASSUMPTION PARISH, LA (WAFB) -

A traffic stop by the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office Saturday resulted in the arrest of a Napoleonville, LA woman on drug charges.

Just before 11 a.m., deputies pulled over 38-year-old Tammy Lynn Lucas on LA Hwy 308.

Deputies searched her vehicle and found a small amount of marijuana and 24.1 grams of methamphetamines (crystal meth) with a street value of $3,400 hidden inside a small, portable radio.

Lucas has been charged with possession with intent to distribute schedule II methamphetamines, third offense of possession of schedule I marijuana, speeding, driving left of center, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Her bond has been set at $35.861.50. She is being held in the Assumption Parish Prison.
