Police: Man wearing garbage bag, holding gun, robs Dollar General

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Baton Rouge Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened Sunday morning, just before 9 a.m.

Reports say the suspect, armed with a handgun, entered the business through the front doors. The suspect then approached an employee and demanded money from the business. After getting the cash, the suspect ran out of the store in an unknown direction.

There were no reported injuries.

The suspect is identified as a dark skin, black male, thin build, around 6'0" and believed to be in his late 30's to early 40's.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black scarf over the lower portion of his face to conceal his identity, a black t-shirt with grayish/black pants, black shoes along with a black colored garbage bag.
