BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Baton Rouge Police need the public's help in identifying a man accused of stealing a wallet from a 79-year-old man.

It happened on June 8 at the Race Trac on South Sherwood Forest. Police say the victim was loading items into his vehicle when a man came from behind him and snatched his wallet.

Reports say the suspect went to numerous stores around Baton Rouge and used the victim's credit card, spending more than $500. The surveillance images are from a Circle K convenience store.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, thin build, in his 20's, having dark curly hair and a tattoo on his right forearm. The suspect was last scene driving a white work van with white metal carriers on the roof.

Anyone with information on this individual is urged to contact the Armed Robbery Division at 225-389-3845 or Crime Stoppers at 225-344-7867.
