Webb Park Civic Association holds inaugural meeting

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The Webb Park Civic Association announced it will hold its first ever meeting Tuesday evening.

The group is made up of the Webb Park neighborhood, as well as Steele Place, Glenmore Place, Walnut Hills, Country Club and Westdale subdivisions.

The meeting will be held at the Webb Senior Center from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Organizers said the newly created association, which hopes to "preserve the beauty and value of one of the oldest and distinguished neighborhoods in Baton Rouge and give the community a platform to have a voice on the issues and opportunities surrounding our area."

They are looking to address traffic, develop bike and walking trails, improve Webb Park and Golf Course, and better the neighborhood crime watch initiatives.
