THIBODAUX, LA (WAFB) - A man has been arrested on attempted murder charges in connection with a shooting after a fight, according to investigators.
The Thibodaux Police Department said Albert Starks, 22, of Thibodaux, is charged with three counts of attempted second-degree murder. He was booked into the Lafourche Parish Detention Center. His bond was set at $250,000.
Police Chief Scott Silverii reported it happened near an apartment complex on Sanders Street in Thibodaux on Friday around 1:30 p.m.
He added the investigation into the shooting showed Starks allegedly started a fight with someone, left the scene and fired shots at three victims in a car. Silverii also said no one was hit by the gunfire.
According to the police chief, officers were actually at the scene of where the fight happened on St. Charles Street when gunshots rang out nearby.
Reports indicated deputies with the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office found Starks and arrested him on outstanding warrants.
