PLAQUEMINE, LA (WAFB) -

A judge has officially sentenced a Baton Rouge man to two life sentences for murdering two people in 2012.

Harry Prater was given two life terms without the possibility of parole, probation or suspension of sentence in the shooting deaths of Ronald Harrell, 38, and Junius Dedrick III, 46.

The bodies of the victims were found in a car in a ditch on LA 1 in Plaquemine on September 24, 2012.

A jury convicted Prater in May on two counts of second-degree murder.
