GULF OF MEXICO (WAFB) - The Coast Guard is searching for two people who were aboard a helicopter that crashed in the Gulf of Mexico on Wednesday.
Rig workers reported the crash happened about 60 miles south of Terrebonne Bay around 3 p.m.
Workers launched a life raft, but the helicopter sank before they could get to it.
Several Coast Guard craft are involved in the search, along with civilian ships.
The names of those missing and the owner of the helicopter are not yet clear.
