EBR summer eating program available for kids

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

The East Baton Rouge Summer Eating Program is underway.  Two free meals will be provided for kids at more than 35 locations.

Any child between the ages of 0-18 is eligible to receive a healthy meal. The program will stay open until August 1st. Most sites provide both breakfast and lunch. A map of the sites is now available.

The program is paid for by the USDA. You can view the Summer Feeding Open Sites at the Healthy Baton Rouge website by visiting www.healthybr.com.

For more information about sites in your area, you can contact the City of Baton Rouge/ East Baton Rouge School System at (225) 226-3768. You can also contact the Big Buddy Program at (225) 774- 5795.  The Baker area can be contacted at (225) 774-5795, and for the Central area, you can dial (225) 650-2918 or (225) 650-2919.
