GEISMAR, LA (WAFB) - Gonzales Police have arrested an 18-year-old man for making a bomb threat that caused an evacuation at the Williams Olefin's plant in Geismar last month.

Trenton Osburn from Baytown, Texas was arrested Tuesday morning at the plant and charged with one count of terrorizing. The incident occurred on May 22 when police say Osburn called the CB&I office and said 'they had 30 minutes to evacuate the plant and hung up."

The plant was evacuated at the direction of the Ascension Parish Sheriff's office. Police later learned that Osburn was a CB&I employee who was working at the plant on the day of the incident.

Officials traced the call to Osburn's cell phone. He admitted making the bomb threat because he was extremely hot and needed a break. He also had an outstanding warrant for a terroristic threat against a public servant.

He has been booked into the Ascension Parish jail.
