BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Detectives are looking for a woman that allegedly scammed a Wal-Mart cashier into loading money on black debit cards at Walmart, 10606 N. Mall Drive, on May 8 at 6 p.m.
According to officials, the suspect told a cashier that she was a customer service representative and conducted nine transactions for $500 each.
During each transaction she instructed the cashier to hit the "cash out" button, which resulted in the charge being credited onto the debit card each time this was done. These actions caused Walmart to take a total loss of $4,536.18.
The suspect is described as a black female wearing a blue jean jacket with a white under shirt.
