Deputies: Suspect attacks store employee and sprays him with pepper spray

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Detectives are searching for the man who assaulted a store employee and sprayed him with pepper spray.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office reported the incident happened at a business in south Baton Rouge on May 30.

According to reports, the suspect walked into the store and went into an unauthorized area. Deputies said the suspect attacked the employee after being confronted. They added the suspect then ran off toward the Gardere area.

The suspect is described as dark-skinned. He is between 5'10" and 6'0" and weighs about 185 pounds.

Anyone with information on his identity is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 344-7867.
