GONZALES, LA (WAFB) - A Gonzales, LA woman is now behind bars after being accused of illegal drug activity. During a search of her home, reports say deputies found a large quantity of prescription pills, a half pound of marijuana, 10.9 grams of Cocaine, three grams of Heroin, 25 packs of synthetic cannabinoids, a digital scale, and close to $6,100 in cash.
At the time of the search, Carey's under age child was in the house and was released to a family member.
Shandolan Carey, 36, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute Heroin, Cocaine, marijuana, synthetic cannabinoids, Hydrocodone, Xanax, four counts possession with intent to distribute legend drugs, Adderall, Oxycodone, two counts possession with intent to distribute Clonazepam, Ambien, possession of CDS in presence of person under 17 years of age, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Carey was taken to the Ascension Parish Jail where her bond has been set at $372,844.50 by Judge LeBlanc.
