PIERRE PART, LA (WAFB) - A woman suspected of stabbing her live-in boyfriend in the chest was arrested on battery charges Tuesday morning.
The Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office reported Tammy Daley, 45, of Pierre Part, was booked on charges of aggravated second-degree battery and domestic abuse battery. Her bond was set at $30,000, but a hold was placed on her from probation and parole.
Authorities said she is currently on probation for an aggravated second-degree battery conviction in West Baton Rouge Parish.
Investigators said the 61-year-old victim suffered a punctured lung and remained hospitalized as of Thursday morning. He reportedly told the deputies that responded to the 911 call about the incident that he and Daley had gotten into a fight, she had picked up a small kitchen knife and stabbed him in the chest.
Deputies added Acadian Ambulance rushed the man to Teche Regional Hospital in Morgan City.
