BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A Baton Rouge man and woman have been arrested after a search of a home in the 13000 block of Chalmette Avenue revealed drugs, cash and a weapon.
The Delta Narcotics Task Force, SWAT and K-9 officers executed a search warrant at the home and arrested 45-year-old Morrow Payton and 36-year-old Quinteller Jones.
During the execution of the search warrant agents found 754 individual dosage units of ecstasy, approximately 350.3 grams of marijuana, $18,000 in cash, a digital scale and a pistol.
According to officials with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office, Payton made threats toward the law enforcement agent during questioning and made other violent references toward the agent as well as toward others.
Deputies say Quinteller admitted that she was aware Payton was selling drugs and that she was with him for several transactions.
Both were booked into EBR Parish Prison. Payton and Jones are both charged with possession with intent to distribute schedule 1 (marijuana) with controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute schedule 1 (ecstasy) with controlled dangerous substance, possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance, and possession of a firearm in presence of a minor and possession of drug paraphernalia.
