The New Orleans Saints have signed Jonathan Goodwin and Brandon Deaderick to one-year contracts.
Goodwin returns to New Orleans, where he played from 2006-10, after serving as the starting center of the San Francisco 49ers from 2011-13.
Goodwin has appeared in 181 career regular season games with 106 starts, 93 taking place at center.
Deaderick, a 6-4, 305 pound defensive tackle, is a four-year NFL veteran, who has played in 47 career games with 15 starts and has posted career totals of 50 tackles (36 solo), 5.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and two passes defensed.
In 2013, he joined the Jacksonville Jaguars and appeared in 13 games with one start as a part of their defensive line rotation and posted nine tackles (eight solo), 0.5 sack, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
The team also has waived former Notre Dame guard Mike Golic Jr. and BYU linebacker Spencer Hadley.
