BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB/AP) -

The Southeastern Louisiana Lions avoided elimination in the Baton Rouge Regional with a 2-1 win over the Bryant Bulldogs on Saturday.

The game went into extra innings after both teams were tied 1-1 after the 9th inning. Southeastern (38-24) was able to score in the top of the 10th inning to take the 2-1 lead. An RBI sacrifice fly by Sam Roberson scored Jameson Fisher for the game-winning run.

The game ended on a walk-off double play, as outfielder Andrew Godbold caught a fly ball and gunned down what would've been the game-tying run at home plate to seal the win.

With the bases loaded in the bottom half of the inning with one out, AJ Zarozny flied out to Godbold, who threw out Dan Cellucci at the plate and the season for Bryant (42-15).

Godbold also had three hits in the game.

The Lions took a 1-0 lead in their first at-bat. Jacob Seward led off the game with a single, advanced to third on a throwing error and scored on a wild pitch.

Bryant scored in the fifth inning on an RBI double by Carl Anderson.

Tate Scioneaux started the game on the mound for the Lions and pitched six innings, giving up seven hits and one run. Mason Klotz got the win for the Lions in four innings of work, giving up three hits but no runs. They each threw five strikeouts.

The Lions will play the loser of the LSU/Houston game.
