Agents: Cincinnati man brought two kids along for heroin deal

FORT WRIGHT, KY (FOX19) -

A Cincinnati father was arrested Thursday afternoon after he allegedly brought his children to a heroin deal in Northern Kentucky, authorities said.

Joseph Gunter, 32, was arrested by Northern Kentucky Drug Strike Force agents in a Ft. Wright, Ky. restaurant parking lot. Authorities said he allegedly brought over ten grams of heroin to sell.

Gunter brought his two daughters, ages 6 and 8, who were in the car when he was arrested by agents, officers said.

Shalah Robinson, 29, also of Cincinnati, was also arrested. Agents allege that Robinson drove Gunter to several heroin transactions in Kenton County during the past two months. 

Gunter was charged with three counts of trafficking a controlled substance, two counts of wanton endangerment and one count of promoting contraband. Robinson was charged with three counts of trafficking a controlled substance and two counts of wanton endangerment. 

With all charges, Gunter could face up to 75 years in prison and Robinson up to 45 years.

Both were booked into the Kenton County Detention Center.  The children were unharmed and were released to the custody of a relative.
