BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A Baton Rouge man who is a convicted felon has been sentenced to 105 months in prison and three years of supervised release for possession of a firearm.
U.S. Marshals say they went to arrest 35-year-old Melvin Trosclair at his residence on North 28th Street on April 17, 2012. That's when they discovered he had a loaded pistol and body armor. He was wanted for armed robbery.
Judge James Brady says Trosclair was a danger to the community and cited his extensive violent, criminal history.
