BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The USS KIDD Veterans Memorial & Museum will be free to the public on Sunday, June 1st, for First Free Sunday: Summertime Celebration.
'First Free Sunday' is a partnership program among several downtown Baton Rouge museums that gives families an opportunity to visit local museums free of charge.
The USS KIDD's Summertime Celebration is sure to be fun for kids of all ages. There will be self-guided tours, indoor and outdoor games, music, arts and crafts, refreshments, movies in the theatre, gelato for sale in the lobby and much more throughout the day.
The museum will be free and open to the public on Sunday, June 1 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. It is located at 305 South River Road in Baton Rouge.
