BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB)
Baton Rouge Police have arrested a man in connection with a deadly crash that happened on Airline Highway on May 23.
Lahisha Walls, 37, of Baton Rouge was driving northbound on Airline Highway near Delcourt Avenue around 8 a.m. when police say 24-year-old Thomas Moore III was also in that area.
Moore attempted to change lanes, not seeing Walls. Walls swerved to avoid the collision with Moore and she crossed the median into oncoming traffic where she was hit on the passenger side of her vehicle by an 18-wheeler.
Police say Moore "refused to stop after the crash."
An anonymous tip led police to Moore. He has been charged with felony hit and run, driving on roads laned for traffic, and not having a drivers license. He has been booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
