BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -
Bayou Country Superfest is kicking off Friday, May 22 with a lineup any country music fan will enjoy. Fans need to be aware of what is and is not prohibited inside LSU Tiger Stadium during the event.
You are not allowed to bring coolers, ice chests, bottles, cans, cups or any other type of container inside. You also cannot bring backpacks or any bags larger than 8.5" x 11" or larger.
No outside food and drinks are allowed and you are not allowed to bring an umbrella or any type of artificial noisemakers.
You can take pictures, but your camera cannot have a removable lenses and you are not allowed to take video. You cannot bring in your video camera.
Here are other items that are prohibited and more rules for the event:
Pets of any variety (except for service animals)
Audio recording equipment
Weapons of any kind
Banners/Flags/Poles of any kind (or any obtrusive/obstructive signage)
No smoking inside the stadium
No unauthorized video or audio recording
Children under the age of 2 may be admitted without a ticket (with the exception of the VIP Golden Horseshoe); no seat provided.
No re-entry; anyone leaving the stadium must have a new ticket to re-enter
All persons entering the facility are subject to search
Items may not be stored at or near the gates of the stadium.
Any items left will be thrown away.
No oversized portable stadium seats (impeding on the comfort of others in adjacent seats)
Tickets may not be resold on stadium premises and/or the surrounding grounds (including the stadium parking lots)
Wheeled personal transport devices (e.g. skateboards, Segways, go-peds, etc.) are not allowed on Festival grounds
Note: Violators are subject to ejection.
George Strait, the King of Country Music, will headline the 2014 Bayou Country Superfest. It will be part of the final leg of The Cowboy Rides Away Tour. He will be joined by Reba McEntire and Chris Young
Also on the ticket for the three day event is Jason Aldean, Eric
Church, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Easton Corbin, Lee Brice,
Gloriana, Hunter Hayes, Big and Rich and Joe Nichols.
Quint Davis, producer/director of the Bayou Country Superfest said,
"For the 5th anniversary, we are taking the Country Superfest to another
level! It doesn't get any more exciting than adding a third night to
present George Strait's farewell tour plus Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean,
Reba and Eric Church over three huge days of country music."
The Superfest is scheduled for May 23 to May 25 and, as always, will be held at LSU Tiger Stadium.
