Judge denies LSU student's request to delay disciplinary hearing

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The LSU student who was arrested in connection with a recording of a couple having sex in a campus dorm room is set to go before a disciplinary board.

On Tuesday, a judge dismissed a request by Xavien Riascos' attorney to have the hearing delayed until after his criminal trial. He is charged with video voyeurism.

Riascos didn't record the x-rated video, but he was arrested in April after campus police said he knew the student who did it and didn't report it.

LSU is recommending that Riascos be suspended for three and half years. A date for the disciplinary hearing has not been set yet.

The student says he plans to appeal the judge's ruling.
