For those of you planning to attend the Bayou Country Superfest this weekend, know that you can avoid parking hassles and catch a CATS bus to the event from one of many hotels in Baton Rouge.

The Capital Area Transit System (CATS) will be providing shuttle service to and from Bayou Country Superfest.

Beginning May 23rd, CATS buses will be providing service to area hotels including Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Embassy Suites, Marriott Hotel, and Homewood Suites. Downtown hotels served include the Hampton Inn and Hotel Indigo.

Travelers to the festival can board at any of these locations for a convenient ride to Bayou Country Superfest. Round trip passes will be sold on board the CATS buses for $10. One way passes can also be purchased for $5.

After the concert, return trips will be every 30 minutes beginning at 9:30 p.m. until one hour after the festival ends.

"We are excited about offering this service to visitors and residents attending the Bayou Country Superfest. It offers passengers the opportunity to save on parking, and convenient schedules that will ensure that passengers return to their original location in a timely manner." explained CEO Bob Mirabito. "We encourage all visitors and residents attending the festival to save time, money, and try transit."
