BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Baton Rouge Police have arrested a man in connection with the attempted murder of a woman and her 6-year-old son.
Court documents say 21-year-old Tyronn Collins was driving a pickup with 25-year-old Antonio Switzer riding in the bed of the truck. Collins is accused of pulling the pickup in front of the woman's vehicle, blocking her in.
Reports say Switzer raised out of the bed of the truck and fired multiple shots into the woman's vehicle at her and her young son. The vehicle was struck four times. Collins then drove away from the scene of the crime.
Collins has been previously arrested for burglary, armed robbery and simple robbery, according to the warrant.
Collins was arrested and charged with principal to attempted first degree murder and principal to aggravated criminal damage to property. He is being held in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a $107,500 bond.
The alleged shooter, Antonio Switzer, is still wanted by police. An arrest warrant has been issued.
