MidPoint announces initial artists lineup for 2014

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

A slate of the initials artists to perform at the MidPoint Music Festival has been released.

Over 100 local, regional, national and international musical acts will come together in Cincinnati to perform at the 2014 MidPoint Music Festival (MPMF).

The annual three-day event occurs each September in Over-the-Rhine. The festival popularity has skyrocketed in recent years. This year's festival will be held September 25-27.

General admission tickets and three-day tickets, including VIP passes, are on sale now on MPMF.com.

This year's artists include:

The Afghan Whigs
Recent release: Do To The Beast; First new material in 16 years. Only regional concert stop. "The combination of dark and sexy tells us we're in the right place." — American Songwriter 

Panda Bear
Recent release: Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper due in July; Panda Bear, a.k.a. Noah Lennox from the popular band Animal Collective, is known largely for sonic pop songs built around looping.

Real Estate

The Raveonettes

Sun Kil Moon

Deafheaven
