BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Officials said 1,300 students from the Baton Rouge area are making their voices heard in the fight against drugs.

Fifth grades students celebrated their graduation Thursday after completing the DARE Program.

Students learned all kinds of skills that will hopefully help them avoid getting involved in drugs, gangs or violence.

DARE is a police officer-led group of lessons that teaches children how to make good choices while resisting peer pressure.
