Council sets public hearing to decide on parish attorney's job

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Another heated issue that had Metro Council members split Wednesday was the issue regarding  Parish Attorney Mary Roper's future.

The council voted 7 to 5 to hold a public hearing in two weeks to decide whether or not she keeps her job.

At issue is her handling of sensitive information dealing with parish-owned software.
