BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The city-parish scored a victory in the state's highest court, overturning a Baton Rouge judge's ruling on the definition of family.
The city-parish sued landlord and former mayoral candidate Steve Myers based on a 1954 zoning ordinance in 2012. It prohibits more than two unrelated people from renting a house in some neighborhoods.
A Baton Rouge judge declared it unconstitutional. However, the state Supreme Court reversed that ruling and sent the case back to the district court.
