HOUMA, LA (WAFB) - A woman was arrested Wednesday after a traffic stop revealed she was in possession of heroin and her 2-year-old daughter was in the vehicle and not properly restrained.
Just after 2 p.m. Wednesday, a Houma Police Officer pulled over a vehicle for running a stop sign. The driver, Eva Prestenbach, was issued a traffic citation for disobeying the stop sign.
During the investigation, the passenger in the vehicle, 24-year-old Rebekah M. Lombes,was found to be in possession of suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia. The officer also discovered Lombes had an outstanding warrant for obstruction of justice.
Lombes was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of heroin, child passenger restraint system, illegal use of CDS in presence of minor and the warrant.
Lombes was taken to the Terrebonne Parish Jail awaiting trial or bond.
