BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The trial for a man accused in a deadly hit and run crash is wrapping up Thursday.
Darby Griffin, 50, of Baton Rouge, is suspected of hitting and killing Barbara Jacobs, 56, while she was riding a bicycle near the intersection of Gardere Lane and Pascagoula Street on Sept. 30, 2012.
Griffin was originally charged with DWI and felony hit and run. However, this trial is only for the hit and run.
Louisiana State Police reported Jacobs was actually hit by two vehicles. Investigators said the first one drove off.
Griffin was arrested at a nearby apartment complex a short time later.
