BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Police are trying to find a woman accused of driving off with people's cars.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reported Kimberly Yates, 33, is wanted on three counts of auto theft.

Detectives said she asked someone for a ride on Nov. 22, 2013 and while the person was outside, Yates allegedly drove off and left the victim behind. Detectives added they have still not found the victim's vehicle.

Investigators said Yates did the same thing on April 22, 2014. They reported she asked for a ride and then, when the victim was inside a convenience store, Yates allegedly drove off. The vehicle was later found in a canal.

The third incident happened on May 4, 2014. After the victim fueled up at a gas station in the 2200 block of 22nd Street, Yates is suspected of being the person who jumped in the victim's car and drove off. The vehicle has not been recovered.

Yates is described as 5'4" and weighs about 160 pounds.
