BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Police said the third suspect wanted in the deadly shooting of a man early Saturday morning has been arrested.
The Plaquemine Police Department reported Willie Thomas, 43, of Baton Rouge, was arrested in Baton Rouge on Monday. He faces charges of first-degree murder and armed robbery.
He is suspected of shooting and killing Hashim Henderson, 34, of Plaquemine, in his home during what investigators believe was an armed robbery.
Alex Granville, also known as "Tank," 35, of Brusly, and Jacqueline Deloach, 32, of Plaquemine, were arrested Sunday on first-degree murder and armed robbery charges.
Detectives said Deloach and Granville knew Henderson. It is believed the pair, along with Thomas, went to rob Henderson around 2 a.m. They added at some point Henderson was shot once in the chest with a small caliber handgun.
Records from the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison show Thomas booked on April 14 on the following charges:
Illegal carrying of a weapon
Felon in possession of a firearm
Resisting an officer
Battery of an officer
Flight from an officer
Criminal damage to property.
His bond was set at $30,500. He was released on April 17.
The investigation into the deadly shooting on May 3 is ongoing.
