PLAQUEMINE, LA (WAFB) - Police are looking for a third suspect after two others were arrested in connection with a deadly shooting early Saturday morning believed to have happened during an armed robbery.
The Plaquemine Police Department reported Hashim Henderson, 34, of Plaquemine, was found dead on the floor of his home just before 7 a.m.
Investigators said Willie Thomas, 43, of Baton Rouge, remains on the loose. He is wanted for first-degree murder and armed robbery. He is the suspected triggerman.
Alex Granville, also known as "Tank," 35, of Brusly, and Jacqueline Deloach, 32, of Plaquemine, were arrested on first-degree murder and armed robbery charges.
Detectives said Deloach and Granville knew Henderson. It is believed the pair, along with Thomas, went to rob Henderson around 2 a.m. They added at some point Henderson was shot once in the chest with a small caliber handgun.
"We don't fully know the reason he was shot, as opposed to just being robbed, and we may never know," said Capt. Kenny Payne with the Plaquemine Police Department. "And we don't know why it led to that."
Police are asking anyone who sees Thomas or has any information about his whereabouts to call Crime Stoppers at 225-344-7867.
