BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Volunteers with the Louisiana Capital Area Chapter of the American Red Cross are on their way to help out people in Mississippi.
Crews in Baton Rouge packed up Wednesday morning to help out those in need of tornado relief. The emergency response vehicles can feed up to 3,000 meals a day.
Four chapters in south Louisiana will be sending trucks to help.
"Even if you lose your home and your possessions, what we want to do is make sure people are safe," said Bobbi Zaunbrecher with the American Red Cross.
First responders were already on the road headed to Mississippi by noon.
