GONZALES, LA (WAFB) -

A Louisiana woman is asking for the public's help in assisting neighbors to the east that are in serious need after the recent devastating storms that swept across the nation.

Last year, Sandy Duplessis of Gonzales, along with her husband, collected enough supplies for Oklahoma tornado relief to fill up an 18-wheeler.

Now, the pair is once again gathering goods for storm victims. This time, they will be helping people in Mississippi.

Anyone who wants to donate can drop off supplies at Carlico Cafe. It is located at 1496 North Airline Highway in Gonzales.

If you are interested in volunteering at the Gonzales Tornado Relief Collection Site at Carlico Cafe (located at 1496 North Airline Highway in Gonzales) please call their office at 225-644-7655.
