DARROW, LA (WAFB) - Four men were arrested Friday in connection to the homicide of 23-year-old Isaac Prestley who was killed last Thursday, and deputies with the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office are now searching for three more suspects.
Isaac Prestley was gunned down in the community of Darrow just across the street from a packed church.
Deputies with the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office say Prestley was a victim of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The three suspects wanted in connection to Prestley's death are 25-year-old Bruce James of Gonzales; 23-year-old Anthony Clark of Gonzales; and Delano Joseph Alexander of Reserve. All three are wanted for second degree murder. Clark and Alexander are wanted on an additional charge of illegal use of a firearm.
Deputies believe the three are part of a gang who opened fire with four other men on the night of the homicide.
Cprien Nicholas, 29, of Gonzales; Demitoris Alexander, 48, of Gonzales; Tachi Williams, 28, of Gonzales; and Clarence Ruth, 19, of Darrow were arrested Friday and all face second degree murder charges in Prestley's death. Both Alexander and Williams had an additional charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Deputies say 50 shell casings were found near the scene of the crime.
There are still more arrests possible and this investigation continues, according to Chief Bacala.
