BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The Tornado Watch has been canceled and there are only a few lingering light showers in the WAFB area and those should be gone by or before midnight, according to Chief Meteorologist Jay Grymes.
Parts of southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi had been under a tornado watch due to the threat of severe weather possibly moving through the area Tuesday.
The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for the following parishes:
East Baton Rouge
West Baton Rouge
The following Mississippi counties are included in the tornado watch:
It is scheduled to remain in effect until 9 p.m.
