After winning three-out-of-four games last week, including an SEC series win against Tennessee this weekend, the Tigers have moved up one spot to number eight in this week's Baseball America Top 25 and number nine in Collegiate Baseball's Top 30.

LSU (33-11-1) started the week with a 6-0 victory against Tulane. With the shutout against the Green Wave, LSU leads the nations with 13 shutouts, already eclipsing last year's total of 10.

The Tigers took two-out-of-three against the Vols this weekend, winning a thriller 8-7 on Friday, dropping Saturday's contest 6-3, but bouncing back to win the series Sunday with a 9-4 victory.

The Tigers will be back in action Tuesday night when the team hosts Alcorn State at 6:30pm in Alex Box Stadium.

LSU will then travel to College Station for a weekend series against Texas A&M.
