Florida Blvd. between N. 22nd and N. 23rd Streets reopened after gas line rupture

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Lanes are now open after being closed down earlier on Thursday.

The Baton Rouge Fire Department confirmed that a portion of Florida Blvd. was shut down due to a ruptured gas line.

Officials said the area between North 22nd and North 23rd was closed to traffic due to the incident. A construction crew working in the area reportedly hit the line, causing the rupture.

Officials say Florida Blvd is now open in both directions.
