BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - After waiting for more than a month for zombies to take over Baton Rouge, fans of the hit show The Walking Dead will finally get their chance to be "Survivors" or "Walkers."
The Walking Dead Escape happens Thursday from 6 p.m. until midnight at the Baton Rouge River Center.
"Survivors" will have to climb, crawl and slide their way through various zombie-infected evacuation zones. Those lucky enough to make it to the decontamination zone will have their level of infection assessed and then participate in the event's Fan Experience.
"Walkers," on the other hand, will be transformed into the undead by a professional makeup artist and they'll receive "zombie training" prior to their release on the course.
Remember to send your photos of the event to us. You can use #WAFBZombie on Instagram or Twitter, or email them to firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also upload them from the free WAFB news app.
