BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The Costco Wholesale opening in Baton Rouge is the first ever to hit the area and only the second in the state of Louisiana.
Costco in the Capital City has been a long time in the making and the company is eager to open its doors so it can show consumers what they've been missing.
The members-only warehouse club officially opens its doors to the public on Friday, but the media was given a sneak peek of what the nearly 150,000-square foot facility has to offer.
"We are just a one-stop shop that pretty much has everything you might need from electronics to washers, dryers, refrigerators, food," said Ken Tinkham, general manager of Costco Baton Rouge. "We're very proud of our Kirkland signature brand name, which we have many different items from clothing to olive oil to our tire center. We have just great items."
Costco is right off Airline Highway where the Coca-Cola bottling plant used to be.
