KSLA News 12 Editorial: April 21st-Where's the Pride?

A friend of mine sent me an email this past week. He described a small car accident he had.

The tow truck driver came to take his car, but failed to sweep up the glass in the road. My friend asked the driver for a broom and he swept it up himself.

He went on to say, "Look around next time you're stopped at a traffic intersection. You'll see not only remnants of an accident, but aluminum cans, styrofoam cups, candy wrappers and more cigarette butts than you can count." He also went on to say, "Our city is not as clean as it used to be. Where's the pride?"

He makes an excellent point and reminds us all the importance keeping the place looking nice.

I'm James Smith.

Tonight at 11:59 p.m., KSLA's extended agreement with DirecTV will expire and they may drop this station from their lineup. We have been working hard to stay on their system, but they have simply refused to make a fair deal.
