BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The public was invited to attend an outdoor Way of the Cross on Good Friday starting at St. Joseph Cathedral in Baton Rouge and dozens showed up for the event.
The 14 stations took place on the grounds of the Louisiana State Capitol and then ended up back at the cathedral.
The observance started at 9 a.m. outside the cathedral on Main Street and Fourth Street and lasted until around 10:30 a.m.
St. Joseph Cathedral held its solemn evening mass for Holy Thursday.
Bishop Robert Meunch led a time of prayer and praise, reminding the faithful of the biblical story leading to Easter Sunday.
