"We played good, consistent baseball and that's so important," head coach Tony Robichaux said. "When you do that, you have a chance to win every night out. It was just a total team effort this weekend. We got timely hitting, and did a lot of little things right. We played good defense, got good pitching and the bullpen pitched good all weekend for us never giving up a three-run inning."
Cody Boutte became the third Cajuns starter this weekend to remain undefeated on the year moving to 5-0 with the win. Boutte gave up only one run on four hits in six innings with seven strikeouts.

After two scoreless innings, the Trojans got into the scoring column in the top of the sixth on a leadoff solo home run to left by shortstop Austin Pfeiffer to cut the lead to 4-1.
Louisiana answered scoring a run in the sixth and seventh innings on first and third plays to extend the advantage to 6-1.
UALR made things interesting in the top of the eighth plating two runs to pull within three at 6-3. Tanner Rockwell tripled in the first run of the inning. With two outs, Byrson Thionnet sent a ground-rule double over the fence in left to score Rockwell.
Freshman Reagan Bazar came on in the eighth and ended the threat for the Trojans getting pinch hitter Ryan Scott to ground out to end the inning. Bazar went on to throw a scoreless ninth inning to record his sixth save of the year.
