BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The Baton Rouge Blues Fest brought in a huge crowd downtown.
It happened on Saturday, April 12th. Swamp blues master Kenny Neal was on stage with the legendary Henry Gray. They shared one of three stages at the 20th annual Baton Rouge Blues Festival.
It was all free, and festival goer said the atmosphere was perfect.
New Orleans resident Telisha Diaz said, "This is my first time, I'm so excited, it's still giving me the New Orleans feel but I didn't have to drive 80 miles to get the music and the good food and the people, everybody is so nice and friendly. The gator sausage was good… it's been fun and the band was awesome!"
If you missed the blues today, there's more tomorrow. Larry Garner will play on Sunday in the park from 2-5 p.m.
