EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH, LA (WAFB) - Senator Mary Landrieu shared her thoughts on a lawsuit targeting 97 oil and gas companies.
"I do not think that lawsuits are going to save the coast of Louisiana. There are both sides to this story and they have powerful arguments on both sides. I've tried to focus my effort on actually coming up with a way to support and save the coast," Landrieu said speaking to the Baton Rouge Press Club Monday.
Landrieu added she thinks Louisiana should get a bigger cut of revenue brought in by the industry. The senator said that's the fastest way to get more money to protect the coast.
